DÖRR WATERPROOF OCEAN BINOCULARS
The DÖRR Ocean binoculars are ideal if you spend a lot of time outdoors and don’t let bad weather stop you. The binoculars in the Ocean series are also perfect companions by the water or out on the water.
Whether in rain, fog, dew, or snow – with these waterproof binoculars you can carry out your observations at any time without worry.
NITROGEN FILLING
The nitrogen filling inside the binoculars reliably ensures that the optics remain fog-free even in damp and cold weather conditions. At the same time, the gas filling allows the Ocean binoculars to be temporarily submerged for approx. 30 minutes at up to 1 m water depth.
PORRO PRISMS AND MULTI-COATED LENSES
The built-in Porro prisms are made of high-quality BaK-4 glass, providing especially vivid, bright, and true-to-color images of high optical quality. The design and special arrangement of the Porro prisms enable eye-friendly, fatigue-free viewing.
The multi-coated lenses (MC Multi Coating) of the Ocean binoculars reduce unwanted reflections and simultaneously increase light transmission.
FLOATING STRAP
If you would like to use the Ocean binoculars on a ship or boat, we recommend replacing the standard neck strap with the included floating strap. The extra-thick padding of the floating strap ensures the binoculars won’t sink if they accidentally fall into the water. The signal-yellow color of the floating pads is clearly visible on the water surface and helps you quickly locate and retrieve the binoculars.
RUBBER ARMOR
The sturdy, grippy rubber armor provides excellent handling and protects the binoculars from moisture such as dew, fog, and splashes. The distinctive “petrol” color perfectly completes the modern look of the binoculars.
MAGNIFICATIONS
The Ocean 7x50 binoculars are ideal for use in boating, on a cruise, or on a sailboat, and are also perfect for fishing trips. The 7x magnification remains stable even with boat movement. With a large field of view of 122 m at 1000 m, refocusing is almost unnecessary.
The Ocean 10x50 binoculars, on the other hand, show their strengths especially in nature and wildlife observation, as well as when viewing distant objects. Thanks to the powerful 10x magnification, a detailed view of these objects is ensured.
The large, easy-grip center focus wheel allows smooth and silent focusing of the eyepieces.
DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT & TWIST-UP EYECUPS
Since everyone has different eyesight, the binoculars can be adjusted to different visual acuity using the diopter adjustment. Glasses wearers also benefit from the twist-up eyecups, which always ensure the same eye distance to the binoculars without needing to refocus.
TRIPOD CONNECTION
For longer observation sessions, the screw cap beneath the center focus wheel can be removed. Directly underneath is a ¼” tripod thread. In combination with our DÖRR metal binocular tripod adapter TA-2 (optional), the Ocean binoculars can be mounted on a tripod. Suitable tripods are of course also available from us. For use with binoculars, we recommend, for example, our DÖRR HD series (HD-140/HD-175).
OTHER ACCESSORIES
In addition to the floating strap mentioned above, the Ocean binoculars come with an adjustable neck strap, objective and eyepiece caps, a shoulder bag, and a cleaning cloth.
