An achromatic lens is in optics a system consisting of two lenses where the glasses have different payouts (different degree of dispersion). The system consists of a collector lens (usually of curling glass) and a scattering lens with lower payout and thus greater dispersion than the collector lens, usually made of flint glass. In this way, you correct the chromatic aberration that simple lenses have for two wavelengths, ie. The system has the same focal distance for these two colors.
